Rv Rubber Roof Wrinkles

I did an inspection of a condo in a big complex today. Use a roller to smooth the surface and remove any new air bubbles. Certain brands of rv roofs are plywood that is stapled down on the edges. How would you write up this condition in the report.

I don t use any chemicals on our roof and prefer to power wash it yearly with just water at 1200 1800 psi. The roof had several ripples in it. Expansion or contraction of the rubber and some small areas with adhesive issues do occur resulting in bubbles wrinkles at times. See pic for example.

I do not recall any posts where replacing or adding to luan in your case material under the rubber roof was done as you are alluding to. Wrinkles are very common on rubber roofs. With time the wood flexes pops loose and you will see clear defined lines on your rv roof with a slight bubble in the rv roof. Brand new building built in 2007.

Tim moss explains why you should be more concerned with the cause behind your wrinkly roof than just it s appearance. It s critical to thoroughly clean the area you re patching so the adhesive will bond with the roof. Our fw tpo roof looks the same the wrinkles aren t a problem. Weight the patch until it s dry.
